HATE TELEVISION ?

Do yourself a favor and turn off the hypnosis box.

Oh I do hate television
mesmerized into submission
to blankly stare till eyes got square
sponging hours of pointless fiction

Or watch the news and feel despair
they warn me terror's everywhere
promoting wars like corporate w****s
as ratings jump on half a scare

And soaps are nothing but a bore
recycled scripts for evermore
why time forsake on actors fake ?
I'd rather watch an ice cube thaw !

And brain routinely starts to ache
bombarded by commercial break
each tells me why I need to buy
some shite if free I wouldn't take !

Oh TV's do not edify
but dumb us down and stupefy !
and those devout grow statue stout
and couch their only lives goodbye !

So turn it off, nay, throw it out !
much better off you'll be without
television's hollow vision
is not at all what life's about.

TV and mass media are a great tool for mind control or at least coercion

mind contol is a fact of life and tv has been one of the most pwoerful forms of that. you are not going to learn about the corruption much less do anything about it when sat infront of the hypnozis box. the amount of free time you get once you unplug, however, the internet has caught me. i'm addicted to info. thanks again fro the read and review, be well
