What have I doneA Poem by Weeping WillowA child plays in a field, Not knowing the danger he’s in, For the great monster that is sealed, Is about to break free and eat all the sins, As the box on the ground, Shatters into dust, The monster yells a deafening sound, “Save the boy I must”, I yell running to the boy, But I’m too late, The monster rips him apart like a toy, “There goes my best mate”, His blood fills the field, I fall to the ground, The monster that was sealed, Is now wandering around, He stares at me, Covered in blood, “Please let me be”, He walks through the mud, My heart is racing a mile a minute, The monster before me, He killed him he did it, This monster I see, Is the other half of me. © 2013 Weeping WillowAuthor's Note
