A Chapter by Weeping Willow

Aiko's love

When Ryu is gone Aiko sits up, her heart pounding “what did he mean by, I’m glad that I got stuck and not Haru.” Aiko whispers to her, as she stands up she sees smoke rising, she packs up everything and runs to Ryu.

“I think there following us,” she says pointing at the smoke. Ryu runs over to the smoke, but only sees a small town. Then Aiko screams as a man tries to drag her off, Ryu runs to her and cuts the guys arm clean off. The man screams in pain as Ryu ties him to a tree, after he’s tied to the tree Aiko tries to stop the bleeding

“Princess, why did you yell? I’m meant to help you, your father and the prince sent me.” The man says trying to suck up the pain

“Well I knew the prince would send someone, but my father.” Aiko says pulling away, Ryu looks at her sad face “I think I stopped the bleeding.” She says standing up, Ryu pulls her away

“He thinks I kidnapped you,” Ryu whispers

“Well then I’ll just have to tell him to tell my father the truth,” Aiko says walking over to him. But Ryu grabs her and puts her on his shoulder, her but facing the man

“Tell the king and her father he’ll have to kill me, before I let her go.” Ryu says walking away, Aiko’s hearts beats faster and faster as she hears him say this. When they’re long gone Ryu puts her down and moves toward the village, not says a word to each other. Then Aiko looks at Ryu’s face

“You need to get to a doctor,” she says pulling him close to her “Your cuts are infected.” Ryu just smiles

“There’s a village near by, I can get help there.” Ryu says looking at her worried face, Aiko starts walking half dragging Ryu.

“We better get there fast.” Aiko says. When they get there an old woman lets them stay at her place, Aiko goes into town to get some stuff for Ryu’s cuts.

“You have one good looking girlfriend,” the old woman says to Ryu.

“I wish she’s not mine,” Ryu replies

“Well she could be, I don’t think I’ve seen a more worried woman.” The old woman says looking at Ryu “Oh I forgot to tell you I have only two beds, one is mine and I don’t have a couch.” She says jumping off a chair. When Aiko comes back she tends to Ryu’s face

“Are you all right you look pale?” Aiko says looking at Ryu

“I’m fine, as long as I’m with you.” Ryu says not thinking on what he was saying, both of them start blushing. Ryu just smiles and says

“I sorry I didn’t mean to say that.” Aiko looks at him and they both kiss, later that night Aiko stands outside looking at the stars when the old woman walks up to her

“What the matter,” she says. Aiko looks at her and says

“I have always wished to be normal or poor, but now I wish for it even more.” Aiko starts crying and from behind a barn Ryu is hiding

“I wish the same,” he whispers
