Chapter 7

The wanted bounty hunters

All of the bounty hunters look at her

“And why would you think we yet people hire us,” bulls- eyed barbie replies

“I need to get to sector 28 without my father knowing. If you do this I’ll give you a lot of money,” Aiko says pulling out a suit case

“You know we could just steal your money and run off.” Says Ryu looking at her

“I’ll do this job, if you two don’t want to its fine by me. Besides I wouldn’t refuse a pretty girl,” the other man says walking towards her “My name is Haru,”

“No way I’m I letting you and a pretty girl be left alone, I’m coming for the protection of this girl.” Bull- eyed barbie says wrapping her hand around Aiko’s neck “My name is Risa, but you can call be bulls- eyed barbie if you want.”

“Maybe we should change your nickname, seeing as you missed.” Ryu says standing up “I’ll come to, but only for the money. And how much are you going to pay us?” Aiko grabs a large suitcase and gives it to Ryu

“That’s half,” she says

“Wow, you must be really rich.” Risa replies, Haru walks up to Aiko

“So sector 28 you say, well we better get moving,” Haru says getting real close to Aiko. Risa grabs Aiko and says

“Watch out, hot stuff has a thing for picking up pretty women. And I think that you’ve pissed off jet fast lion, so hurry around me, okay.”

“Pack up your stuff and let’s get going,” Haru says grabbing a lot of weapon and putting them in a magic watch

“There’s something else you need to know, you have to get me to sector 28 without anyone knowing and we have to get there in a month.” Aiko says to them, Risa looks at her

“That’s not going to be easy, after all were all wanted.” Risa says packing all her guns and ammo into a small magic wallet. A few days later both Haru and Risa have made really good friends with Aiko, but Ryu keeps his distance. All of them are now on a train heading for sector 18, both Haru and Risa are looking after Aiko while Ryu is look out.

“Hey Haru, why does Ryu hate me?” Aiko asks looking out the train door

“Well it’s because you’re rich. See his father died trying to bomb the Higure family, this only happened a little while ago. What happen was the Higure guards came up and attack his father, who was bombing their force- field.” Haru says looking at Aiko, Aiko looks at her hands

“Dam it, how does he know. That I’m a part of the Higure family.” Aiko whispers

  “Wait what, you’re a part of that family, then did you……” Risa says

“No, my father did it. I didn’t know, but I couldn’t have stopped him.” Aiko says taking of some of her dress at the back, “look at my back, this scar has been with me for a while. This scar was given to me by my father after I stood up against him.” Both Risa and Haru look at her with sad eyes, then Ryu walks in and she her back

“Is this the punishment for rich women if they stand up against someone?” Ryu asks looking at her back, but Aiko just tries to cover it up

“I do want anyone to feel sorry for me, so just forget you saw that.” Aiko says walking away, Aiko sits down in an empty compartment as sees looks out the train. Ryu follows her and sits next to her

“You had it worst then me,” Ryu starts “My father didn’t once slap me, let alone cut my back.” Aiko looks at him

“It wasn’t a knife that did it, it was the whipping.” Aiko says trying to remember the whipping herself.

“What’s a Whipping?” Ryu asks, Aiko looks at him

“A whipping is well, do you know what a horse whip is?” Aiko says

“No?” Ryu replies

“Well it’s a long piece of rope, the one my dad has is half made of metal that’s why I have a scar. Basically they hit it against your back 20- 30 times, and they call it a whipping. I had 5 whipping, so far,” Aiko say looking back out off the train

“That would hurt a lot, what kind of people would do that?” Ryu says standing up

“Nobles.” Aiko replies, Ryu sits back down as Aiko tries to get some sleep. Aiko is freezing, so Ryu sits next to her to keep them both warm.

“Nobles you say,” Ryu says trying to warm himself

“Dear God,

Please protect all those people who died at my father’s hands and yet the souls be purified. I would like you to let them hear my song again please,” Aiko start Ryu looks at her and wonders what she’s talking about. “You are safe now, Yet your spirit sow,

 Into the gates of heaven, Where you can see our God,

Don’t be sad, You’re better there then here,

Let your families cry, But not for too long,

As they need to move on, And be happy for you

Try and be happy with all the others that joined you,

One day you will be back, And start anew.” Aiko sings, when she stops Ryu asks

“What was that about?”

“I wish I knew how to fight, because then I could’ve saved my sister I could have saved them.” Aiko says starting to cry “why couldn’t I have saved them.”

“Saved who?” Ryu asks, Aiko just sit there and falls asleep. Haru and Risa walk in and sit next to them

“I feel sorry for her,” Risa says putting back some of Aiko’s hair

“You know something tell me,” Ryu says trying not to wake Aiko. Haru take Ryu into the corner and tells him, Ryu walks of and doesn’t come back till Moring. In the Moring Aiko won’t eat she’s too sad to eat
