Ships of FlightA Poem by theupsanddownsA UFO themed piece (inspired by planes which would fly over my home along the same path on a regular basis at night).
They come traveling in lines
They do it all the time Headlights beaming Red lights blinking (as they go) Flying by my home I wonder where they come from And where they offload Ships of flight They take to air Under cover of darkness They're headed somewhere What do they bring? (precious cargo) Secrets of the ancient world And knowledge of tomorrow Seize them? No It cannot be done Because upon their arrival They're all ready on the run Away they jet Faster than light You blink once And they're all ready out of sight Just where to? No one knows But they will come again For their story must be told As we advance The more we'll learn of them Wondering if these ships of flight Are enemy or friend © 2015 theupsanddowns |
