ROOM of TWO

ROOM of TWO

A Story by The Unknown Sith
"

We fear what we don"t understand....

"
It opens the door to an endless room with no floor. So it just sticks itself to the wall. So it doesn't dare fall. Then it just starts flopping its body from front to back until, on this great giant wall, it finds a little itty bitty crack and crevices itself into that. It burrowing as far as it can go back into the black until it falls off the map and just when all would think it won't come back, well damn! It does exactly that!
Except to put itself on another map and if anything could be more true it would be the fact that it's now right in front of you. You stand there stunned. You don't really know what it is or where it comes from. To describe it is not possible from your primitive mortal tongue. Your mind races with fear because somehow you know it's not supposed to be here. With that eerie fact, you step back. It moves forward. This is not good. You move to your left. It moves to your right. Alright. You stand frozen like a mannequin with only eyes following in a horror glance as it just passes you by in this small room with only ceilings and floors and no walls or windows nor door. It goes to the other end as your still frozen in the middle of this small space. You then go to the opposing end. It just sits at the other side.
You don't know what to do and you think it might not know what to do with you. You both sit there for what seems to be hours on opposite edges of the small see-through floor until you suddenly yell out "hey!".There is nothing. Maybe it has nothing to say. You suddenly blurt out as a child would say to a doctor with a big needle coming forth "go away!".It does nothing..then wait something...it gets up and simply flops off it's edge of the floor, but it doesn't jump or dive off. Oh no, it slides like a sinister slime to the underside of the transparent floor and, with a grip that seems to always stick, it starts flopping its body from back to front with cracking of joints and bones and low tune grunts until it gets to the middle of the underneath of this glass-like floor. You still sit on the floor, floored by what you just endured. You just watch it as you believe it is watching you. You do this as the light starts to mist for the dark.
The dark slowly enters the room, eating the light away. It has not moved. It is still in the middle of the under side of the dimming clear floor. You begin to pray as the last of the light gets eaten away. With endless prayers from your breath and only bites left of the devoured light, you witness a truly horror sight. It starts to move again! It flops towards your direction. It's body, cracking and moaning back to forth as the last morsels of light disappear into the darkness's full belly. You sit parallelized by darkness and fear with only the cracking of it's moving body to hear. With no longer sight you can't tell weather it is moves away or still near. Fear. You sit there in pitch black for what seems hours. But you lose all real sense of time and maybe your mind. With ever noise from it's bodies creak you know your not going to sleep! But oh time is slow and soon dies your adrenaline flow. You fight away sleep, but it too creeps at you and speaking on that. You realize you don't hear it no more. You don't know if this is good or bad? Woo! You almost fell asleep. You sit up more attend, but your eyes fall again. The end
No, that was just pretend. You fell asleep. For how long who knows. It is still pitch black. Then you fall back flat on the floor you can't fight sleep no more. So the lids finally cover the eyes. You fall asleep again,my friend.
You awake to a room still strapped in black. You pull the covers over you more and then it dawns on you they weren't here before. Then more dawns on you that you can hear them snore. As they cover your body in the blackness of night. You realize these are not covers! And you'd be right! Your first reaction should be to throw it off you and run away. Except with every snore from it. A cuddling grip from it. Which seems to be there for no other reason then mutual warmth? You realize you now feel a different type of way. You decide to stay. Still snuggled up with it you drift back to sleep.zzzz
So, in a small dark room with no walls or windows nor doors two bodies lay together warm on the floor as they both rhythmically snore in a room of two.
