Finding Interest

You see and then connect
From rebound to rebound, it’s all in your head
these broken souls, and misfortunate events
are completely suppressed, once you take them to bed
trapped in a body of sinful debt
the beast accepts weak minds, cash and credit
The walk of shame has evolved into respect
Pictures of every person that has touched your lips
crowds your newsfeed
just like your esteem
Because a connection now is nothing more than
false affection, redirection, and copious rejection

oh my, i like your metaphors...and this i have experienced...rebound to rebound...and have experienced those who are rebounding...they stay long enough to feel better about themselves and then...bye bye..

Do you find rebounds to be almost therapeutic? It's an honest question. I have known a handful of folks who have admitted that rebounds landed them in a much better place. Although, I can't disagree with them, because everyone copes in various ways, I do however believe that it does more harm than good. Thank you for reading a few of my poems today and I am impressed that you interpret them so well. For the life of me I can't find anyone who can grasp what I convey. You must be one unique man!
