A Poem by theunionisloud

You and I.
you and I and all the chaos among us--
we are miracles misunderstood;
we mind the sun and moon's endless chase
and marvel at their eclipse.

Phenomenal poetry...the explosion of meaning in such a few lines.

This is the first poem of yours I have read, and already I think I may have to stifle my feelings for you! I love your style, and simplicity. The length of the fourth line detracts from the natural rhythm of the work, but only minimally. Stay in your universe and I'll continue to admire it from mine.

Pretty much the essence of existence in five lines.

We cry
and make love amidst the
aftermath of hydrogen flames.
The last bird sings it's
final song under the sun.

and all of that amongst the chaos... a miracle indeed.
lots of cognitive space between the lines, hinting at esoteric mythology, the stuff of spiritual adepts. Small nuggets revealing a universe of mortal concepts. Interesting write.
