fixed eyes.

fixed eyes.

A Poem by theunionisloud

abyss beyond fixed eyes
tunnel vision, spotlight predator
whose fixed eyes glare back in exponential blaze

in the periphery, branches and whim
mourn the fixed-eyed alias
who long ago deviated from her indigenous
children of the forest

Born of soil and organic compound
beams of respiring sun
throbbing to the rhythm of life

but we keep on,
fixed-eyed,
burning and sure.
the rain of blood swimming through invisible roots
poisoned, wilting union
all in the name of the enemy

vacant, and branded in your eyes.

Oh, this is a delight. The eyes were and will always speak the truth unlike the lips which contort and distort words any which way.

Deep stuff. Very metaphysical and searing. Tapping into the deep roots of the muse and reflecting back the mirror of humanities malaise.
Good stuff.

an intense piece of writing , a glaring stare as the crowd of humanity marches to a death drum into the void .
