Visionary

Visionary

A Poem by theunionisloud

Thoughts are mixed, mashed
Undesirable
I am panicked, amused
Constantly -->
This heat, too hot
I wish upon practicality
but see no stars for
Doctors, Lawyers.
Shall I wish to stop wishing?
This must not be a place for
Dreamers
I need no proof, except that the
empty space
(on the right)
Is threatening.

A world of endless possibilities
A mind to imagine them
A hand to explore them
And we
are threatened?
By novelty?
"The new is improved!"
By reincarnation?
"We're limited to improvement"
By decision?
"Apathy is death"
By indecision?
"The open-minded thrive!"
By society?
They're six billion limited-editions of you
By yourself?
I can see why.
We're just doin' what we do.
The empty space is yours,
Life's endless gift to each of us.
So, pick up a pen; do what you do.
Make it complicated, or make it a
Cookie.
Breathe, learn, and draw.
Listen and give.
Just do what you do.
Because you're perfect, beautiful
and
I love you.

Inspiring!
really, i used to be so obsessed with blank white space, thank you for taking me back to that. Wonderfully written, so many good lines.

I hope you'll forgive my language miss but this was just f*****g powerful. Electric and inventive, shockingly original. Filled to the brim with the atomic individualistic creative fire that is the sign of a real artist. Thank you for sharing this. This is going into my library too:)
