Love's RegretA Poem by theunionisloud
You were here a short while back
when you held me and swore You'd never let go, not if I extracted your fingers from my waist, from your hand. And then you were gone On my feet, I stood planted firmly in the departing earth your absence always present. Where do you hide? Your invisible love still Grounding me, Grounding me, Ground. How I wish for that last midnight on the porch swing your soft murmurs of allegiance that I pried into your silent agenda that I ran back into your refuge to graze my lips against yours and with that last goodnight kiss, renewed your every promise. © 2011 theunionisloud |
