Chains of Captivating Darkness

Chains of Captivating Darkness

A Poem by Lady Tyke

If I left would it take away
this pain, this disdain?
If I screamed at the top of my lungs
would I be free?
If I lived in my dreams
would I escape from madness?

Chains of captivating darkness,
Of suffocating remorse,
Of death desiring,
Chocking breath.

How could love trap me?
How could it consume me with such force?
It's arms strong and unyielding
It's fingers clutching my heart.

Oh dark chains release me
Let me breathe,
Let me live
Let me be free!

I like the expression of the "dark" side of love and its affects. I really like this!!
