Are they liars?A Poem by The Dark PassengerWe've been down this road before, kickin' rhymes and passin' time, before any of us can catch our breath, hold my glance for a second time,
But I'm too weary, and you're too righteous, waiting only until you're sure you can win this game, I'm pulling back and I'm pushing forward, makin' sure I don't cross the line,
Don't trust the liars, they're just sent here to make you smile, they're all just friends and they'll make you believe you're worth your while,
You're beautiful, You're so gifted, You're a saving grace, If only I had reason to believe in everything that they say
You can't smile and say things to ease the sting, When I'm scared of ever getting hopeful- what if I'm meant to sink falling deeper, is this pain just going to last? never happily ever after- there's no dawn just dusk
Don't trust the liars, they're just sent here to make you smile, they're all just friends and they'll make you believe you're worth your while,
Swear you're truthful, Swear he's not worth it, just a fool in a long line of them (and it just never ends)
Crossing hearts and your fingers, laying way just accross my skin, swear you'll mean it, when you smile it, it's hard to tell with my eyes squeezed shut
Don't trust the liars, they're just sent here to make you smile, they're all just friends and they'll make you believe you're worth your while,
