Amputee (I held her hand and she walked away)

Amputee (I held her hand and she walked away)

A Poem by The Dark Passenger
"

Old school Fall Out Boy (lyrical-style) inspired

"

I am such a sucker,
Always falling for the girl
who laughs and leaves me hangin off my crutches
on the corner of my locker door.

It's not my fault she believes in all the rumours
part and parcel of being so damn unpopular
with the girls and with the boys
who aren't into my star wars toys

I can't compete with the leather jacket
and the red bike that turns her on
He's well hung
and I am hangin' on

I'd try to beat her expectations,
but I can't quite pull of pretention
the way they live their life
Like it's runnin' out of style

The harder I try, the harder I fall,
like every turn
gets me one step closer to the biggest burn
I just never wanna know...

Hold on to my pin-stripes
and my light green studded hat
As we're strugglin' towards the finish
and I'm always out of breath-

It's just hard makin' a sprint
in my size 10 skinny jeans.

He pushes up ahead and
I'm left stumbling through the dirt
I always get the bruises
and he always gets the skirt.

But I'm willing to take more chances
I'm always the loser
But I'm still trying
And that's more than I can say for him

The Dark Passenger
just a bit of Patrick Stump related fun.

I like the theme of this...the struggle just keeps going within the lines...you feel the person's anguish to keep fighting on...
