Living at The End

Living at The End

A Poem by The Dark Passenger
"

sick of all the drama...

"

Lets flick the switch

and down the lights

and fire a gun

to start the fight

Are you happy

because you've won

this stupid game

that's all along

been nothing but a waste of breath

and nothing but a waste of stress

to pop my veins out through my skin

to wear another sickly grin

patched together with pretense

and wicked little secrets, lies,

gossip's got a new address

you were different from the rest

knot me up and pull me down

play me the fool and watch me drown

isn't this fun, i'll be your pawn

make me wish i wasn't born

or bred such a nice and pure, poor soul

who couldn't tell you'd take a toll

on this tattered, battered, lonely heart,

that's been shattered from the very start

Lets all be kids just one last time

and pretend we're stupid, pretend we're shy

steal one glance that lasts for life

and we can melt away in lies...
