I am a Ghost

I am a Ghost

A Poem by The Dark Passenger
"

in this silence, in this space...

"

there is nothing here

just fragments of a girl

just splinters of a past

left for nothing

left for something

that will never be

will never become

love

life

something other than strife

and tears

and fears

and things that pull me into the dark

eyes see right through me

touch passes right through my skin

words i speak

they do not listen

they say i shine but i do not glisten

just a thought that passes through your mind

another heart to break and pass the time

i am a heart to hold and host

i am nothing but a ghost

So beautiful and bittersweet... The haunting revelation that the world goes by and we stand unnoticed and empty... left behind for dead... Profound and perfect in so many ways...

Wow that was really good! It really envoked what a ghost would be like.

I know this emotion...this feeling. Yes, your words written with humility and hurt. The feeling of wanting to be significant yet we arrive at insignifigance. Wanting to be yet never gathering achieving the being. Desire of warmth yet they send cold. This is an important poem...it says so much in so little. Yes...I know..."they do not listen".
