Rain and Growing Pains

Rain and Growing Pains

A Poem by the tipsy writer

Give me rain
to accompany arduous journeys
filled with hunger, growing pains,
and aching joints,
mile after mile.
Those beautiful, low moments
that bring mountain tops into perspective,
to remind me that: yes!
I have endured so that I can prosper.
Ah, sweet tastes so much better next to bitter-
a summit much grander
when the trail is conquered.
So give me rain and growing pains,
so I may test my resolve
and prove I can rise high,
above it all.

Great attitude here. Many fear the challenges of life, many are derailed by them. The speaker in this one seems to be aware that adversity can lead to growth. It is all in how you view it.
