In the rose garden, I planted our loveA Poem by the bitter taste of almostIn the rose garden I planted our love
One by one it took over the roses asserting its dominance
Little by little A sickness sprouting stinging nettles, clinging to the vibrant red settles
Slowly but surely the roses wilt away For nothing can grow in this suffocating gray but my hope
In the rose garden down where our love is laid there are no roses left but for one bud still closed and I wait
