A Kate For Sale

A Kate For Sale

A Poem by bernice
"

So I made this poem for my friend for her birthday, and I decided to post this here :)

Hi, yes, hello?
I would very much like you to know
I'm advertising a product, you see,
Well, she's not exactly a thing, but a human being
For starters, let's begin with her looks
Not that you get to see her face much since it's always behind some books
Her thoughtful eyes will pierce through you, seeming to hear your thoughts
So be careful, for she knows the difference between true friends and real frauds
When she's not reading, writing is her passion
She can take you to imaginary worlds, each a unique one
Even though they're facepalm-worthy, her jokes are not to shun
(Just go along and laugh at the lame little puns)
This little product may seem noisy, well, she actually is
You think the thoughts she thinks out loud are many? Well, her extraordinary mind's an abyss
D'you know that tiny voice inside your head, speaking when your ideas aren't "too chill"?
This product's an advice giver, your conscience for real
She's clever at heart, witty in mind, unbreakable as stone
Well, except for one fragile thing, if you're lucky enough to own
Her foolish, silly heart, comes in a seperate case
It's labeled "Handle with care, do not misplace"
If you wish to have the product only, I'm afraid it's a no
For one cannot survive without the other, so the heart, too, must go
So if you want to purchase the whole package, examine it before you pay
If you want to hold on to that decision, we'll send a Kate Baron your way
