A Bet

A turbulent time in my career as a comedic relief caused a bet to be taken with a friend whom I am assisting with his endeavors.

An attempt;

Failure, shame, disgrace;

Unable;

Unwilling perhaps, or just could not;

A request never sent lead to an acceptance never discovered;

And a sadness filled the void.
