Sorry I care

Sorry I care

A Poem by The Standard Poet
"

Friend turned more than friend, yet nothing ever came of it. These are tired thoughts on the situation.

"
You would think I don't know how to be alone, but its not that. It's that I don't know how to be alone anymore, now that you want me around but I can't have you. Now that you're flirting with me and everyone around me as if nothing happened, as if I have no reason to be jealous. I know you're worried about not being ready, and I know you too well to stop caring now. I've always cared too much, and I don't know how to turn it off.
