Bounce

Bounce

A Poem by thesepaperbones

words tumble and bounce like clothes in the dryer

 They mesmerize me

and I reach in to pick one single word

It’s like taking a piece of pie and gobbling it up

 It tastes so sweet

and feels thick in my stomach

 Each time I write

each time my keys clink or my pen scratches

I know who I am and am reassured

My heart is the cadence of my lovely compilation

and I will continue to flow on
