foggy headed problems to sort out money woes rain falls down from happy skies smoke filled mushroom madness bliss scorned by reason memory numb want to get back to the real world prepare yogic breath cool panorama enters my nostrils warm air flows out lungs tight from too much smoke brain soft mental sloth trying to forget love
II. cold rain outside the window clean breezes stir me gray is the dominant color brown reflects my mood you take after my mother her wild ways and earthly deliberations rusty is the dead grass yellow green sleeping weeds black never shows underground soggy sluggish March enters like candy sticky and purple tongued but how will it leave us?
III. the girl with black and green hair has a lot of gall she sits smoking a cigarette with her blue nails and bleary eyes knocking the turntable with her foot the record skips and pops please watch out, I say she looks at me without blinking bumps the record again © 2008 Ralph S. DeMarco |
