Romantic TragedyA Poem by Andy~A poem about a romantic tragedy, exactly what the title says. I wrote it while listening to Mayday Parade's "The Memory." Enjoy the read!As I stay awake tonight, I cannot help but think, What could have happened if you had not left. As my teardrops fall on the pages with black ink, Of the words I should have left unsaid.
So I write poetry of this romantic tragedy, To keep myself from living in the past. But the memories, they're killing me, But from now, they're all I'll ever have.
As my tears stream down my face, I say, That tears can never rewrite the past. So solemnly I say, as I wipe the tears away, “There is no way that I can bring you back.”
So I write poetry of this romantic tragedy, To distract myself from missing you. But the memories, they're killing me, And you'll never know how much I loved you. © 2013 Andy~Author's Note
