CHAPTER 11

Archer broke through the wards of the coven easily and watched as the witches scattered. He grinned and looked at the vampires behind him, and then to Kay and the others. His eyes land on Alicia and he grinned

“Nice to see you Archer,” Kay spoke looked towards the master vampire. “You have not changed at all.”

Archer grinned as he stepped towards Kay. “Ah, my dear Kay,” he said and reached out to her. She slapped his hand away and he acted hurt. “What? No friendly reunion?”

“For you? Never.”

He shrugged and glanced around, he spotted Alicia and grinned. “So you do have her here. Good, I would of hated to come here for nothing.”

“You won’t have her,” Kay said softly, her hands fisting at her sides. Her powers radiated around her. “You will never have her!” she snapped and threw the magic at him. He dodged it and laughed. He nodded slightly signaling for the others to attack. He flew at Kay hitting her and knocking her backwards. She hit the wall behind her and tried to stand, but failed as consciousness left her. Archer flew at Alicia and grabbed her seconds before Lucas dropped from his hiding place forcing Archer to release her. As Lucas slammed Archer to the ground, Alicia stepped backwards away from them.

Andrea automatically recognized the three from the last fight. Eric, Leland, and Jaiden. Three young but powerful vampires. She stepped forward, anger blazing in her eyes. She glanced at Dawn who stepped up beside her. “Two against one,” she stated softly. “Seems fair.”

Andrea said nothing as the vampires moved forward. She let flames come to her hands and moved towards the vampires. As she moved forward, her eyes met Eric’s. “Oh my god…” she murmured. She watched his eyes widen as he recognized her. “Andrea…” he murmured.

“My god….Eric. But you were dead…” Andrea shook her head. “But you’re a vampire?”

He shrugged, his eyes blazing into hers. “And you’re a witch,” he snapped. “We were best friend in school and you never thought to tell me?” He glared at her. “Oh, it doesn’t matter. We are here for the girl and we will not leave without her.”

“Seriously Eric? You can’t come up with anything better than that?”

He growled at her and stepped forward. “I will not play games with you Andrea, we want the girl, give her over and the rest of you will live.”

“You honestly think you can kill us?

“I know I can kill you,” he snapped. He swung his hand at her and as she dodged it, she saw Leland attack Dawn. “No!” she yelled as she flipped Eric, and saw Leland hit Dawn, knocking her to the ground.

Dawn struggled under the vampire holding her down. He grinned at her and bared his teeth, moving closer to her neck. She slowly moved her arms out from under him and managed to control the earth under them. Earth flew up around them, forcing the vampire back, and giving her time to jump to her feet. She glared at him and moved backwards. She watched him grin as he got to his feet and stalked towards her. “Nice try witch!” he said laughing. “A little dirt wont hurt me.” He lifted his arm to reach behind him and she saw the large gun strapped to his back.

“You brought a gun. What can’t handle a little witch without it?”

He laughed, “you have your weapons and I have mine.” He pulled it forward and aimed it at her. “Think you can outrun a bullet?” he chuckled. He put his finger on the trigger and started to pull.

The shot fired out and Dawn hit the ground.

Andrea, hearing the shot, jerked away from Eric just as Dawn hit the ground. “Dawn!” she cried out as Eric slammed his fist against her head. She blinked in surprise and pain as he slammed her into the ground. She struggled trying to push him away when he backhanded her, forcing her to turn her head away. “You can’t save her, you should work on saving yourself!” Eric laughed as he put his hands around her throat.

Andrea’s hands flew to his wrist, trying to push him away. She felt water pool around her hands as she started to lose consciousness. Using the last bit of strength she had, she hit him with the water and watched him fly across to yard and hit the fence. She got to her feet just as she realized that Eric would not be rising from the fence. She walked forward and saw how the fence had gone through his back and through his heart. “Dawn!” she said yelled as she turned only to come face to face with Leland and his gun. Her breath caught in her throat, she glanced passed him at Dawn. “You shot her…” she murmured softly.

He laughed and pointed his gun at her chest. “And now I will shoot you.”

Lucas continued to punch at Archer. “I will never let you harm them!” he growls angrily. Archer laughed and shoved Lucas away as he got to his feet. “You are still a weakling boy,” he laughed. He stepped on Lucas’s chest and pushed down, he boots bringing blood. “Helping witches,” he laughed again. “You brought forth your own death just as Samantha did.

“Do not speak of her!” a voice growled from behind him. He slowly turned his head to find Alicia, glaring defiantly at him.

“You think you can stop me from talking about her? She was a weakling and she deserved to die!”

Alicia stepped forward, anger flashing in her eyes, and fire in her hands. She watched him step away from Lucas and towards her. She raised her hands, and before he was able to react she threw two fireballs at him.

He stepped back in surprise as the fireballs hit him and burned through his shirt. “Well well, our little witch has some strong magic.” He grinned and walked towards her. “Perfect,” he said, his fangs bared at her. She stepped back, seeing hunger in his eyes. Her eyes flickered to Lucas, who continued to lay on the ground. She slowly called upon the fire again, but only small balls came this time, so she took the chance and threw the fire at his face. He shrieked and she used the distraction to jump at him, causing him to hit the ground. He rolled out from under her and she hit the ground face first. As she shook her head to get her bearings, he flipped her over and glared down at her. “Nice try witch!” He slowly lowered his mouth to her neck, his fangs lowered and he heard her gasp as they penetrated her neck. He took in a long drink before he was knocked away, tearing his fangs out of her neck. She screamed in pain as he saw Lucas standing over him. “You forced me to watch Samantha die, I wont let you hurt her!” he growled.

He laughed. “Then you better help her before she bleeds out.”

Lucas looked away from him, and seeing Alicia laying almost unconscious, he rushed to her side. Ripping his shirt, he presses it on her neck to stop the bleeding. “Alicia, please hold this.”

She weakly put her hand over his piece of shirt, trying to push down on it. She looked up as Lucas turned back to face Archer. He laughed. “I can already feel her power running through me. You were to late Lucas, just like before!” Lucas watched in horror as flames engulfed Archer’s hands. Archer laughed and shot flames at Lucas who jumped to the side at the last moment. The flames hit dirt behind Alicia, but instead of going out, the flames continued to burn. She glanced behind her at the flames as they seemed to grow.

“Alicia! You need to get away from the flames!” Lucas yelled as he got to his feet.

Archer walked up behind Lucas and knocked him away. “Now that I have your powers, I don’t need you,” He said, jerking Alicia to her feet. He lowered is fangs and placed them at her neck.

“You’re right, you don’t need her. So release her,” Lucas said, stepping behind Archer and jerking Archer’s head back. He watched as Archer slowly let go of Alicia. He jerked Archer back, and looked over at Alicia. “Get inside.” When she hesitated, he snapped “Now!”

Alicia turned and rushed into the house, but stopped right inside when she realized Kay never got to her feet. She turned, still feeling weak and quickly moved to Kay. “Kay…? Answer me please,” she murmured, tears in her eyes. When she received no answer she hugged Kay tightly to her. “Please don’t die,” she murmured.

Archer laughed at Lucas. “You have fallen for the witch haven’t you?” he asked, still laughing. “Well then, she will be the cause of your death!” He threw Lucas over his head and stepped towards him. “You let these witches weaken you.”

“These witches are my family!” he growled. He jumped at Archer, anger and hate flashing in his eyes. He slammed into Archer. “You will die!”

Archer laughed as he hit the ground. “You think you can kill me? You are a weakling Lucas! You have been since I changed you.”

“Then I guess it was your mistake that you changed me instead of killing me.”

Andrea looked into the barrel of the gun, her breathe catching in her throat as her hands tightened at her side. She could beat a lot of things, but a rifle? And when did vampires start using guns anyways? She slowly met his eyes as he began to laugh.

“What’s wrong witch?” he asked still laughing.

“You killed my sister!” she growled. Lifting her hands, she watched as streams of water flew at Leland, throwing him backwards and tossing his gun away from him. She stalked towards hum when Alicia’s voice stopped her.

“You monster!” she screamed. “You killed her!

All eyes turned to Alicia as she stormed towards Archer, the flames at her hands so bright that it was hard to believe it didn’t burn her. Andrea glanced at Archer and watched as worry flickered in his eyes.

Lucas shoved Archer forward and quickly gestured for Andrea to circle around him. She moved quickly and felt finger tingle with power waiting to be released. She glanced at Lucas and saw power radiating from his hands, and at that moment she knew his intention, the three of them would kill Archer together. Her eyes darkened as she glared at Archer who was now turning around, looking at each of them. She saw Lucas nod slightly, and all three of them let their powers go, hitting Archer and lifting him into the air. His screams echoed in the night as he tried to fight the powers.

“Andrea!” a voice scream from behind them. Andrea turned surprised, and saw Dawn using her strength to throw dirt and Leland who had finally gotten up, and had his gun pointed at Andrea’s back. Dawn closed her eyes momentarily and called to tree nearby. In seconds Dawn had a stake in her hands and flew at Leland. She slammed the stake into his chest and watched as his surprised eyes met hers. “Never thought…a witch…” he let out a weak chuckle before his body disappeared.

Dawn rushed to the others and quickly put her own magic in. As the four lifted Archer higher up, his screams were weaker, and his fight had left him. “Your begged me not to kill her!” he called down to Alicia.

As her anger grew and so did her power. Within seconds ashes fell to the ground, and Alicia fell to her knees. Andrea ran over to Alicia as Lucas moved to where Kay was laying. “You guys!” he yelled. “Kay is alive, lets get her inside.”

Andrea lifted Alicia into her arms and met Dawn and Lucas near the door. They started to walk in, when Lucas turned away from the door. “Jaiden! I know you are watching. You don’t want the girls, you want me, so let me take them inside and then we will fight.”

Laughter was heard but when no attack came, Lucas rushed the girls inside. “Andrea watch over them, I will take care of Jaiden.”

She nodded slowly. “Just be careful, it will be daylight soon.”

He nodded and slowly walked from the room.

“Here I am Jaiden! Quit Hiding!”

Jaiden jumped down from the tree, grinning.

“How brave of you, you watched your master die.

He shrugged and laughed. “I was sick of being under him anyways. And I am sick of you Lucas, but I will gladly take care of you myself.”

Lucas laughed as he walked towards Jaiden. The boy always could bite off more than he could chew. “You think you are strong enough to beat me? That is funny Jaiden. You couldn’t even beat me in training.”

Jaiden growled at him, “you think you are better than me?”

Lucas rolled his eyes as he stopped in front of Jaiden. “You think you can kill me? Then try it.”

Jaiden jumped at Lucas, knocking him backwards. Lucas grimaced slightly as he stepped back. The master had got him a few good times, and they were starting to take their toll on him. “So this is why you hid? So you would be strong enough to fight me?”

A shrug answered him.

“You are still weak Jaiden, you have always been!” Lucas laughed, trying to make Jaiden mad enough to be careless.

“I am not weak!” he shouted, anger flashing in his eyes. Lucas knew at that moment that Jaiden’s biggest weakness was that he couldn’t stand to be labeled as weak.

“Yes you are Jaiden! That’s why Archer let you be his right hand, because he knew you would never challenge him!”

Angered, Jaiden tried to attack Lucas, but his anger blinded him to the fact that Lucas jumped into the tree before he could move.

“You see Jaiden, you didn’t even see me move,” Lucas smirked, continuing to lead him on. He moved higher into the tree, looking for a limb to break off, and trying to make Jaiden follow him. He stopped and listened as Jaiden jumped into the tree and started to climb.

Lucas broke off the limb, and stood on a limb, waiting for Jaiden to catch up to him. He grinned as Jaiden looked at him surprised. “You would stab me?” he asked almost shocked.

Lucas chuckled. “What’s wrong?” he asked, holding the limb tightly in his hand. “Scared of dying?” He jerked his hand forward and the limb entered Jaiden’s chest. A cracking was heard as the limb went through his chest bone, and then a crashing as he fell from the

tree.

Lucas jumped from the tree and walked back towards the house just as sunlight started to show behind the tree line.
