Velcro KittiesA Chapter by therisa
You enter my life
As two small meowing Balls of compassion During a time I truly needed love. Shattering the barriers I have erected Throughout my life Protecting myself From others. No matter How long I am away From both of you I always find you Waiting for me At the front door. Brightening my moods During my darkest days Of depression And anxiety problems. In providing me With around the clock Watch detail Whether just Venus Or both of you Venus and Squeak. Although There are times I do wish For more time Alone. To fully Savour the warmth Of a long hot bath Without the fear Of one of you Falling into the bathtub With me. Not I do not like Your constant companionship Rather It is having To patch myself up. After your claws Flail around Desperately attempting To find solid footing With my body being Your anchor. Especially When Squeak’s claws Are raking my body As he tries to avoid the water. Sigh Will admit There are times It feels like We are attached Together For life. © 2015 therisa |
