Life Is Strange That Way

Life Is Strange That Way

A Poem by therisa

I always thought
My life would be different
When I was
A child.

Of dreams fulfilled
With a loving
And supportive family
During times of need.

Life has a funny way
Of reminding us
What we wish for
Is not necessary
What we received.

Considering
Everything I have endure
I have been
One very lucky woman.

In finding
The right people
In my time of need
Unlike so many others.

My complaints
Rings hollow to me
Given my life’s adversity
And my ability
To find solutions
When needed.

Indeed, life is strange that way. But you *do* have friends here.
Lovely writing, T.
