Dread Of The Unknown

Dread Of The Unknown

A Poem by therisa

Find myself
Treading
Upon unfamiliar territory
Long forgotten
In my past.

Of a place
Where depression
Takes a backseat
To the healing
And advancement
Of myself.

Am scared
This maybe
A temporary stage
False sense of happiness
Before the incoming storm
Of a suicidal depression.

Whose hooks
I have experienced
More times
Than I care to admit
In my life.

I know
Each day

Should be taken
As a gift to me.

For tomorrow
May never come
For those
Who wait.
