The "F" Word

The "F" Word

A Poem by therisa

I do not understand
Why you have
That panicky look
In your eyes
When I have not even
Started to talk to you.

As if
My words are filled
With toxicity.

Really
Is hearing the “f” word
So damaging to you
You need to runaway
And hide from me?

Honestly
The world does not
End and begin
With everything masculine
Nowhere close
To it.

Yet
Why this reaction
To this?

Is it
Because I am
A woman and proud
Of my gender.

Knowing
I see the world
In a different way
Taking a holistic approach
Which benefits all.

Unlike the way
Males do
Trampling others
In their rush
To reach any goals.

Well boys
Your time at the top
Is fast coming to an end
As we “girls” claim our rights
Welcome to the feminine world
Hope you enjoy your stay.

And you thought, I was being dirty, with my title of "The 'F' Word". For shame on you.
