Aging Before My TimeA Poem by therisa
A radical change
Lies ahead of me As I struggle to deal With swollen painful hands. Scared my life As I know it Is about to be Radically altered. Facing new restrictions And medications To ease my discomfort In both hands. Knowing I have Least arthritis In my knuckle joints. Possibly Forced to deal With the debilitating condition Of carpal tunnel syndrome In both hands. Have seen my mom Struggle with this For years Even after two surgeries On her hands. Sigh Feels like My body is betraying me And there is nothing I can do To stop it. © 2011 therisaReviews
