Untitled (February 23, 20111)A Poem by therisa
Often find myself
Looking backwards Over a lifetime Filled with much violence And hatred. Trying to figure out Why I have not turned My heart towards revenge By returning the acts Committed against me. Would be so easy To harden myself Against everyone Until only a frozen crystal Exist. Perfect In every way Except it is dead That once beat in life. Love and laughter Constantly surrounding us If one only look Carefully enough And is patient. © 2011 therisa |
