The Verge

A Poem by therisa

Find myself
Slipping backwards
Into a space
Long thought behind me
Where negativity
Rules every thought.

Consuming me
One dark thought
At a time.

Questioning
Why do I even bother
To make the attempt
In healing myself.

When I know
This cycle will
Only repeat itself.

Except
The next time
It could be
My last time.
