Enter The Night

Enter The Night

A Poem by therisa

If I am yo-yoing
It must be
That time of day
Again for me
Sigh.

The morning’s energy
Which fueled me
Is slowly dissipating
From my body
Into the dreaded
Nighttime depression.

Knowing
The hardest part
Of the day
Lays ahead of me.

Wanting to
Find the softest corner
Of my bed
And burrow
Into it.

Caring not
Whether it’’s healthy
Or not for me.

One day
Maybe
If I am lucky
Things will change
Allowing me
To enjoy
The entire day.
