Invisible Walls

Invisible Walls

A Poem by therisa

Before me
Stands a blank sheet
Awaiting
The strokes of my pen
As it flows across.

Leaving behind
My unconscious thoughts
Of the times
When life was
Brutal harsh and painful.

Seeking answers
Within these words
Which move have others
To shed tears
But find myself
Devoid of emotions
When looking at them.

As if
A barrier exist
Which I can’t cross
In sharing
These feelings
Of mine.

I know my words
Are filled with emotions
But why this barrier.

Shall I
Be able to remove it
Sharing in the joy
And pain
Found within them.

Something I can entirely relate to. Well put down into careful words expressing the wealth of emotion and frustration that comes from battling everything and bringing it our art for progression.
