Point Of ViewA Poem by therisa
When you look
Into my eyes What do you see? A middle aged man Struggling with a past Filled with violence And self-hatred? Or something else Straddling the gender line Neither fully male Nor female. Else A middle aged woman Finally accepting herself For whom she is. All maybe right Yet are wrong At the same time In regards to me. Looking into my own eyes I see only myself And no one else. © 2011 therisa |
