Suicide

Suicide

A Poem by therisa

It is so easy
To take that next step
When a toxic black malaise
Enfolds you
Within its’ grip.

As all of your senses
Start shutting down
Isolating you
From the world
Around you.

Reinforcing
That negative voice
Screaming vulgar obscenities
At the top of its’ lungs
To your fragile ego.

Driving you
Further down
The darken path of despair
Where hope is
A four letter curse.

Where the only solution
Lays in the morgue
Granting a final end
To your life long pain
But is it?

Author's Note

therisa
I have a long history with suicidal thoughts and attempting suicide (whether active or passive), before I was 12 years old. This poem is not meant to be read as encouraging people, who are in a very fragile state of emotions. Rather for them to stop and reach to their local Crisis Distress Centre and talk to someone, before engaging in this one final act.
