How Do I Describe My Writing?

If you ask me
How I would
Describe my writing
Would find myself
Saying
Non-rhyming free verse.

As my unconscious mind
Speaking out loud
To the world
Through my fingers.

Devling into topics
Many people fear to tread
Whether it is
My past history of abuse
Committed against me
By my younger brother
Or the kids
On the schoolyard.

Else the issues
Facing the Transcommunity
In general.

As we are emerging
Out of our self-imposed exile
From the closet
Because our fears
For safety.

But this is
Merely scratching the surface
Of the things
Which are finding their voice
In my writing
You are reading.
