Finding The Pieces Again

Finding The Pieces Again

A Poem by therisa

A tired soul looks out
The apartment window
Hoping to find
That missing spark
Which was once her’s.

Unsure
How to regain it
And not lose herself
In the process.

It would be
So easy
Just to curl up
And will herself
To death.

Not caring
Beyond her immediate needs
Or concerns.

Shutting out
Everyone else
From her troubled life
In an attempt
To find herself.

Needing a few days
Alone by herself
To let various ideas
Bounce around her head.

Often denied
By well-meaning
But misguided people.

Sometimes
The best action
Is one
Which there’s
None.
