I hope so, Richard, but our track record is, utterly brutal, in accepting others, who are different.
Everyone wants and needs and has the right to compassion, understanding, and acceptance.

Especially after Russia has pass legislation about us, having driving licences.

But, in times past, there would have been no debate. No special legislation. No contestation nor refutation nor defense… You would have been killed outright, slowly and torturously, probably by castration and/or public stoning, ground up in the streets, with less compassion than an insect crushed underfoot. I and anyone who dared to speak on your behalf would also have been killed. That LGBT communities even exist in the light of day is an astonishing advance. That women have rights at all. That most people have access to real education now. That we can even openly debate the issue.
We must keep moving forward and demanding more, more, and more enlightened attitudes of humanity. But, remembering where we started, and how we got here, are the keys to continuing the journey forward.

But, I really do believe people are moving in the right direction. We must keep moving forward, through gentle persuasion and compassionate urging. To resort to the same kind of hateful attitudes only leaves that kind of mind feeling justified in their narrow mindedness.

WE will not go willingly, to the slaughterhouse, without resisting, Momzilla. Those days are over.
Im reading a book at the minute about tribes and ancient peoples round the world Therisa and so many of the indigienous peoples had a lot more repect for what they called 'Two-Spirit' people, than we so-called modern societies - they also respected the planet for what it was - the source of life-giving sustenance not a place to pilfer so a few could get rich exploiting the masses.
Modern society has quite a lot to answer for.
This was an insight T - thanks for sharing
