Lady Of Avalon
A Chapter by therisa
Channelling The Mission, this afternoon.
My soul lays Before you Seeking your gift Of healing Denied to me On other planes.
In your hands Does wisdom flow Long forgotten By mortal men And women.
Of a time When the Gods And Goddesses Walked upon the land With us.
As your dark hair Sweeps over My broken body Covering it In your warmth.
Like a light Shining the brightest
On the darkest night For me.
In keeping The one weapon That They have forged Our salvation shall be Safe.
Until the day I can return.

I will pierce through some images to get where I want to get. Pierce through beyond the allusion to Marion Zimmer Bradley's book. Also pierce through the enticing romanticism that some of the lines allude to. The journey described here for me is that one which after a lot of "Soul - searching" we come to the conclusion that there is nothing else and the honesty and sincerity of the finds are laid out in front. But the sense of belonging not arriving. But in unity striving! Until the day then when the clarity of purpose disclosed and a new direction propposes.
Thank You!

That being said, when I wrote this poem, I wasn't even thinking about Ms Bradley's Arthurian legend series, rather, The Mission's song, "Deliverance", which is one of my favourite songs, from them. Yeah, I know, once, a Goth girl, always, a Goth girl. And yes, I do have a wide romantic streak, to me. Arthur, like Robin Hood, are legends about better times are coming, just wait and be patient.
