The Cycle Continues

The Cycle Continues

A Poem by therisa
"

My thoughts, on the past 2 days.

"
For their crimes
They got off
On the easy side.

Never having to
Justify their actions
Before a human court.

Or face
The surviving members
Of their victims' families.

As French forces
Have granted them
The only wish
They wanted.

Martyrdom
For the cause.

In becoming
The latest poster boys
To adorn
These hate filled
Websites.

Never realizing
Their actions have placed
Millions of innocent Muslim.

In the cross hairs
Of bigots
Looking for any reason
To kill or destroy them.

Believing themselves
To be doing
"God's work"
By their hateful actions
In attacking Muslims.

Except
They have furthered
This viscous circle
Of violence
Globally.

As children
Of the slain
Bear arms
Against their parent's
Murderer.

when i think of martyrs, my mind doesn't set on murderers...i think of those who die for a good cause---not kill in the name of God...

i really like the expression in this poem...those who perpetrated this did not deserve the easy way out, did not deserve to be remembered as martyrs..because the aren't---they have no rhyme or reason for what they did---and others lately who are committing all these acts of terror in the name of God...
what God would want this?

a brave poem here.

These words need to be said, Jacob, can't stay silent and let this continue, unabated. Sadly, these .. read more
Maybe they'd do better to stop measuring "it" and remember, "It is only when a mosquito lands on your testicles that you realize there is always a non-violent solution." :D
