Ole Boys Club

Ole Boys Club

A Chapter by therisa

In the air
Of political correctness
This does emerge
From Tinseltown.

Bringing back
The good ole days
Of homophobia
And prejudice.

Where admitting
To being gay/lesbian
Was your career's
Death sentence.

As if
We're a blight
Upon the landscape
To be removed
At all cost.

Whitewashing history
With a series of strokes
Upon a computer keyboard.

In vain attempt
To lure American viewers
Who wouldn't give you
Or your DVD
The time of day.

While
You alienate those
Who will buy
This DVD.

Creating a backlash
That strengths the resolve
Of those
Crusading for equality
Under the law.

Your revisionism
Shall fail
Like other attempts
Have done so
In the past.
