Coming To, An End

Coming To, An End

A Chapter by therisa
"

An expanded and edited version of Anto's poem, "Run Like The Wind". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/antomac1001/1186298/

"
Through
The box canyon
You flow
With the greatest
Of ease.

Carving up
My soulscape
Like a hot knife
In butter.

Until trapped
In a mesa
With no way out.

Like a mouse
Caught
In the trap.

You do try
To flee.

Alas
To no avail
Will you succeed.

As you turn
A giant windmill
Generating power
And light
For your capturers.

Before slowly
You peter out
Into a gentle breeze
Upon my arms.

Of all of the poems, written for this collection, this one, was the hardest for me. No sure, why, but it was. Feeling like, I have missed something, but not sure, it is.

Then, why do I feel like, something is missing from my poems, Anto?

I suppose we are our own harshest critics maybe ??

I know, I can rip myself apart, in 0.0001 of a second, and never break out, in a sweat.
