A Lil' Warmth On A December DayA Chapter by therisaAn expanded and edited version, of my poetic response to, Kalypso's poem, "Ice Queen". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/kalypso/1458612/I see you Standing off In the distance. Shivering Radiating frigid waves Of heat From your body. Want to help Beyond Giving you A warming seat By the fire. To dethaw Your frozen heart And body. But scared How to approach Without alarming Or frightening you By my presence. Knowing In a few more days Another month Is acomin'. Bringing With it A new sense Of hope And opportunity. Chasing away Your frigid blues For another year. As the sun Embraces you In its warming arm. Taking away Your December blahs Until next year.
