You have caught
This lost girl
In her time
Of greatest need

And sorrow.

With your gifts
Of soulful love

And compassion.

When

Others would have
Walked away.

For which
I am
Eternally grateful
Beyond words.

I hope
This "thank you"
Is enough
For now.

For I have

Nothing else

To give back

In my gratitude.
