A Guiding Light

A Guiding Light

A Chapter by therisa
"

An expanded and edited version, of my poetic response, to Icelandicblue's poem, "The Ablution of The Soul". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/icelandicblue/1334221/

"
My body glows
Like a beacon
On a bleak wintry night.

To those
Who are finding
Their way
Home.

In giving them
A sense of real hope
Where none existed
Before now.

A simple gesture
Like a lantern placed
Before a window
Nothing more.

But worth everything
In the world
To them.
