Slipping On A DreamA Chapter by therisaAn expanded and edited version of my poetic response to, Willweb's poem, "All I can see". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Willweb/1447116/Sigh. Melancholy does This heart flow With each contraction Of its valves. As a stream Of longing sadness. Passing through These veins And arteries. In wanting What we can't have. It haunts The very core of our souls With its presence Like a permanent mark Wherever we go. Like a memory Half remembered Just out of our grasp Upon waking From a vivid dream. Wondering If you'll be allowed To be granted This one wish With her.
