End Of A Song

End Of A Song

A Chapter by therisa
"

An expanded and edited version of my poetical response, to Momzilla"s poem, " Love's Demise" http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/MomzillaNC/1412822/

"
Like two ships
In the night
Never to reach port
At the same time
We parted.

Having drifted away
Over the years
For no one's fault.

Other than
It just happens.

Please forgive me
But I have tried
Everything
To keep you
By my side.

Just wasn't enough
For either
Of us
My love.

Which
Saddens me
To no end,

Please accept
My fondest apology
As you walk away
Into the night sky.

Hoping
You will cherish
Our special time
Together.

Your welcome, Anto. Momzilla's poem moved me, in mysterious way.
There are some loves who leave us quietly, and not necessarily without pain, but without anger, and they will always remain in our hearts.

Thank you, Momzilla. I hope, there is still more room, for me, to grow poetically.
