The Next Step

The Next Step

A Chapter by therisa

An expanded and edited version of my poetic response to WIllweb's poem, "Another dream". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Willweb/1433954/

Another vision
Intertwined
With a tainted sense
Of nothingness.

Having been here
Once too many times
Facing this problem
That never goes away.

Wondering
Do I surrender
And admit
My shortcomings
Before you?

Hoping
This time
Everything will be
Different
Between us.

To reach
That impossible space
You say
I have locked you
On the outside
Without realizing it.

Maybe
But am scared
To do so.

Knowing
What awaits me
Shall this occur
Once more.
Between us.

And yet
Here
I stand before you
With my heart
In hand.

Offering it
To you
One more time.

I love what you have done with this collection. I was waiting for it. When I clicked on it earlier it wasn't finished.

Very heartfelt piece here. Takes courage to show vulnerability.

Thank you, Ana. The majority of my poems, deal with opening myself up, to others.

Something, I have to do, if I want real healing, of my body and soul.
Nice Therisa. This had a little bit of everything...you have really opened up here and it was quite the read.
