The Healing Chamber

The Healing Chamber

A Chapter by therisa
"

An expanded and edited version, of my poetical response, to Rudi's "My house". http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Rudi/1450355/

"
Within this room
Which I claim
For myself.

Are the aches
And pains
Tucked away
From everyone else.

Where
Healing is allowed
Its own room
To engage
In its time consuming art.

Away from
The spotlight
Of everyday life.

Going
At its own pace
Knowing
It can't be rushed.

Or else
All is doomed
To failure
And death.

A lesson learned
The hard way
In pushing
For something
Before its time.

Which
Almost threw me
From this plane
Before I realized it.

Like a Tsunami
Coming from
A great distance.
